Agnes Monica dikalahkan oleh Big Bang Pada MTV Europe Music Awards

Perjalanan Agnes Monica untuk mewakili Indonesia di ajang MTV Europe Music Awards 2011 di kategori Worldwide Act Asia Pasific, sepertinya harus terhenti. Pasalnya grup boyband asal Korea, Big Bang berhasil mengalahkan di proses voting selama 5 Minggu.

Sebelumnya, selain bersaing ketat dengan Big Bang, Agnes juga harus berjibaku melawan Exile dari Jepang, Jay Chou dari Taiwan, Jane Zhang dari China serta Sia dan Gitye dari Australia.

Dengan kemenangan ini Big Bang akan maju untuk kategori Worldwide Act Nominees mewakili Asia Pasific. Seperti dikutip dari Vivanews, boyband yang juga terkenal di Indonesia ini akan bersaing ketat dengan artis dunia lainnya seperti Abbdelfattah Grini (Afrika/Indi/Timur Tengah), Lena (Eropa), Restart (Amaerika Latin), dan Britney Spears (Amerika Utara).

Untuk proses voting pemenang Worlwide Act Nominees MTV EMA 2011 akan digelar sampai 4 November mendatang. Sedangkan hasil pemenangnya akan diumumkan pada tanggal 6 November yang akan digelar di Belfast Odyssey arena di Irlandia.
